Nell G. Bell

TYBEE ISLAND – Nell G. Bell, 95, died Monday, September 3, 2012, at Azalealand Nursing Home after a brief illness.
The McCall, SC native moved to Savannah with her family in 1943 and was a longtime resident of Tybee Island. She was a member of Trinity Chapel United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Tybee Island Garden Club.
Mrs. Bell is survived by six children, Sandra Lain of Savannah, Marshall Weatherly of Las Vegas, NV, Sylvia Barfield of Sierra Vista, AZ, Isaac Weatherly of Palestine, TX, Michael Weatherly of Las Vegas, NV, and Danny Weatherly of Tybee Island; two sisters, Betty Harper of Florence, SC, Rose Dennis of Sumter, SC; a brother, Sam Grant, Jr. of Darlington, SC; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Sam Weatherly, and two husbands, John Edward DeBorde and Warren Bell.
The family will have a private graveside service.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests remembrances to Trinity Chapel United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1203, Tybee Island, GA 31328.
